If the last time you had an ear infection is back in the second category, consider yourself lucky. While most of us have our earaches road in childhood, there are moments when adults get them. A bad cold can trigger earache that can make even a cry adult. Ear pain can take forms other than ear pain, such as swimmer's ear and "airplane ear." And sometimes what you think is ear pain can be attributed to problems with your mouth, teeth, jaw, throat or sinuses. ear infections do not usually go away on their own. Here's some tips you can consider to adopt to get relief .

1. Reach for pain

Take a pain reliever such as Tylenol Extra Strength. A counter pain reliever can help you feel more comfortable until you can see a doctor.

2. Moving garlic

When you have ear pain, eat a garlic clove or two a day. Garlic has natural qualities of antivirals and antibiotics, which kill many bacteria that cause ear infections. If you're not a fan of fresh garlic, try garlic supplements, available in most health food stores and many pharmacies.

3. Apply warm compresses

Wing a washcloth in hot water and place it on your ear. Apply packs of 10-15 minutes every two hours. You can also place a cotton ball that has been soaked in hot water in the furrow between the earlobe and the small opening of the ear.

4. Fight against bacteria or fungi vinegar

Using an eyedropper, down 6 to 10 drops of an equal mixture of white distilled vinegar and water in your ear. The ear canal is usually slightly acidic. Infection causes the channel to lose some of the acidity and encourages the growth of bacteria. The vinegar rinse help restore this acidity and can help prevent an ear infection from worsening. Avoid mouthwashes if you know you have a perforated eardrum, see or feel drainage from your ear, or develop any loss of hearing.

5. Drop in a few drops

Hot oil mineral oil or baby and using a pipette, gently place the oil in your ear canal. Do not use drops if you see or feel drainage from your ear. Drainage is actually a good thing. This means that your eardrum is ruptured and the pus can drain. Seeing your ear drain can be a bit worrying, but the pain is relieved, and you'll feel better faster.

6. Keep your head high

Sit down rather than going to bed. Reclining can make your ear pain worse.

7. Try rubbing alcohol

To help prevent ear pain, such as swimmer's ear, put a drop or two of rubbing alcohol into your ear within an hour after you swim. The alcohol dries the ear canal, but can cause your ears to itch. Do not use alcohol if you have a perforated eardrum, see or feel drainage from your ear, or develop any loss of hearing.
