Fresh Water Shortage

Fresh Water ShortageI need help on how to start a paper on the shortage of fresh water?

I have 4 top 26 dude repot on the effects of a freshwater short. im not sure how to start paper please help

Start your research paper with a sort of theory or educated prediction for the future of our water supply and then explain that prediction.

You realize that, historically, especially in areas of famine, many wars have been fought over access to rivers and streams? Without fresh water to drink and tend to agriculture, we are doomed.

My personal prediction is that within 100 years, fresh or potable water will sell at a higher price and it will be much more expensive than any other resource out there. Even more expensive than energy sources. Why? Like humans, plants and animals need clean water to survive and continuing pollution and increased consumption, there is less water available. Then throw in a few droughts premature ... it will be a disaster.

Many populated areas depend on rivers and streams to recover from snow mountain, but over the years that we have less snow, there is obviously less water. This happened in California in the 70s, and severe water rationing restrictions have been applied. Since that time, the human population has continued to increase. And incidentally, we are still recovering from the 60s and 70s when huge factories were allowed to deposit their toxic chemical waste into our waterways.

On a personal note, it always bothered me that some people (especially young people) can spend an hour in the shower ... United States, hundreds of gallons in a single shower are often wasted right down the drain. In contrast, we see people in African countries and other nations are dying because there is absolutely no water to be had.

I probably will not live to see my prediction (100 years) to realize, but my son and her children and grandchildren most likely to have a few days ahead of them seriously if the human population around the world continues increase which increases consumption and waste, especially in our country, while exacerbated by global warming.

Anyway, hopefully I have given you some ideas to explore. Good luck with your paper! :-)

You could talk about how there are many emergency situations these days, such as global warming, energy crisis, and AIDS in Africa, but says little of something we need to survive: the water.

What is the value of water?

You could talk about trade policy of the water (because of the shortage of freshwater in the U.S.). What are the pros and cons of water trading. You could talk about why there is a shortage of water (hint: wastewater in Las Vegas). You could talk about how water resources are limited (the Great Lakes are filled with glacial water that has been polluted and is not a sustainable source of fresh water). We could talk about where fresh water is available: the ice of glaciers. You could talk waste on freshwater and the devastation of the Aral Sea (the sea has been drained for irrigation). Hope any of these could generate some ideas for you. If in doubt go through a part of all of the following: Is there a shortage of fresh water? Why? Where? What can we do? What will happen if nothing is done (eg the use of the catastrophe of the Aral Sea). What are the policies of freshwater. Also, you should probably mention the pollution that is carried by the water in the catchment ... Watershed management is necessary.
