A boat is pulled into a dock by a rope which passes through a ring on the bow of the boat.? The dock is 8 feet higher than the ring leader. What is the speed of the boat approaching the dock when the rope between the dock and the boat is 10 feet, if the cable is pulled in at 3 feet per second?
It's a trick question for sure ... But you look at the answer ... If the boat is pulled at a rate of 3 ft per second ... it moves 3 feet per second.
John
It would not move at all because there are no ropes on a boat .. then it must be a trick question
The boat moves at three feet per second until it hits the dock ... then it stops.
