I live in South Dakota Black Hills Gold is very popular here. I was curious where the design of vine leaves from and why a piece of grape?

The grape-leaf design back to the legend of a French prospector who was lost looking for gold in the Black Hills. Suffering from hunger and thirst, he dreamed of a beautiful stream with grapevines growing beside it. He eventually settled in the region and created the first jewelry containing grape leaves for decoration.
