24 Diamonds

24 DiamondsAnother issue null.?

A diamond company says that 3% of its diamonds are wrong. A random sample of 350 taken from the diamond business. 6 of these diamonds are wrong. Of the following tests would be most appropriate for determining whether or not the diamond company should amend its application?:

A. two-sample t test

B. sample t-test

proportion C. Two-sample z-test

D. proportion Z-test on a sample

Thank you for helping us.

D. a sample proportion Z-test

Here's why: 3% is the claim and a proportion (percentage). This means that the answer is either C or D. The reason is a Z-test on a sample (as opposed to one in two samples) because you do not compare the proportions of two different groups, you are only testing the claim of one group.
